Duties for: (Direct Care, Caregiver, Caretaker, Direct Care Staff, Direct Care Professional, Support Staff, etc.)
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment..
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications (AMAP only) following prescribed care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist residents during meal times to promote proper nutrition and social interaction.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks, sanitizing common areas, and adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document care activities thoroughly in resident records, update care plans regularly, and participate in team meetings to coordinate personalized support strategies.
- Provide transportation to and from appointments, community activities, stores, etc.
Qualifications for: (Direct Care, Caregiver, Caretaker, Direct Care Staff, Direct Care Professional, Support Staff, etc.)
- GED/Diploma preferred
- Driver's License and automobile required for all day and evening shifts.
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and HIPAA compliance.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required and will be offered in orientation training.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and transferring individuals.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs is beneficial.
