American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) position in Richmond, KY, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and certifications including NRP and AWHONN FHM.

Obstetrics unit in a hospital setting, covering Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) care

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)

13-week contract

Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and STABLE

Minimum education: ADN or ASN (BSN preferred)

Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures

Candidate must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Provides comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to obstetric patients across the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum continuum

Performs and documents thorough patient assessments, considering cultural, age, and developmental factors

Coordinates admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including patient and family education

Collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Participates in unit-based quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing

Previous nursing experience is preferred but no minimum experience is required — first-time travelers are welcome to apply
