We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct brake repairs, tire service, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts when necessary.
- Work on HVAC systems related to diesel machinery.
- Repair or replace shocks, struts, and other suspension components.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Experience with HVAC systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and repair.
- Ability to perform brake repair and tire service effectively.
- Certification as a Service Technician is advantageous.
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
