Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operations and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and fluid replacements to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools.
- Repair and service heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and tractor-trailers.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with assembly and disassembly of equipment components during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards.
- Support customer service efforts by providing clear communication about repairs needed and estimated timelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment repair background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and suspension components.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Skilled in using power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance devices safely.
- Ability to lift heavy components regularly and perform physically demanding tasks with precision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong customer service orientation.
- Valid certifications or training related to automotive repair or heavy equipment maintenance is highly desirable.

Pay: $18.00 - $29.00 per hour
