PER DIEM
The Registered Nurse (RN) at a PPEC facility provides skilled nursing care to medically complex and fragile pediatric patients in a non-residential, developmentally appropriate setting. The RN ensures the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care in accordance with physician orders, regulatory standards, and the individualized needs of each child.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Monitor and assess the health status of children from birth to 21 years old.
- Implement and document individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapists, educators, and social workers.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and nursing notes.
- Communicate with families, physicians, and other healthcare providers regarding patient care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
- Educate families and caregivers on medical conditions and home care needs.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including AHCA and DCF standards.
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Florida.
- Pediatric nursing experience preferred; PPEC or similar setting experience is a plus.
- CPR/BLS certification (PALS preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Daytime hours, typically Monday through Friday.
- Indoor, clinical setting with children who have complex medical needs.
- Collaborative, team-based environment.
