Yamato Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laundry / Housekeeping Aide to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents. This role is essential in supporting daily operations and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the facility.
Inventory residents’ clothing and personal items upon admission and ensure proper labeling
Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including cleaning washers, dryers, lint filters, and dispensers
Wash contaminated linens separately in accordance with infection control standards
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and residents’ clothing
Inspect garments for cleanliness and condition; press as needed
Collect soiled linens throughout the facility and prepare items for laundering
Follow established washing and drying procedures
Clean, disinfect, and maintain floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, and fixtures
Polish and sanitize sinks, mirrors, water fountains, doors, and surfaces
Vacuum and shampoo carpets and rugs
Change slipcovers, linens, and decorative items as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply and storage areas
Perform additional housekeeping and laundry duties as assigned
