The Director, Industry Membership drives strategy and execution for industry membership acquisition. This role builds high-level industry relationships, identifies opportunities for strategic collaboration, and positions the company as a thought leader — growing membership and the Media Council through proactive, relationship-driven engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as primary external liaison for industry engagement, building and maintaining senior-level relationships
- Represent the company at key industry events to expand network and influence
- Cultivate relationships with industry leaders to drive long-term engagement and grow membership/Media Council participation
- Partner with senior leadership on engagement strategy with measurable outcomes
- Research industry trends to surface partnership opportunities
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and communications for industry stakeholders
- Lead development of marketing materials showcasing the value of industry initiatives
- Track engagement data to measure effectiveness and identify improvements
- Support special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years in fundraising, media sales, or business development
- Responsive, professional communicator with internal/external stakeholders
- Strong grasp of the media landscape (ad agencies, digital publishers, podcasters, broadcast/radio, tech companies, etc.)
- Executive presence: discretion, judgment, polish, and strong collaboration skills at all levels
- Self-starter with strong work ethic, thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial settings
- Tech-savvy; Airtable and Microsoft Dynamics 365 proficiency strongly preferred
- Flexible availability for early/evening events
- Bachelor's degree required
- In-office 5 days/week (M–F)
Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
