Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties across various areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care techniques to preserve their appearance and safety.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities in both residential and commercial settings, including light repairs and minor maintenance tasks.
- Support facilities maintenance by inspecting equipment, reporting issues promptly, and performing basic repairs or coordinating with specialized technicians.
- Execute industrial cleaning procedures for larger-scale areas or equipment as needed to uphold safety standards.
- Assist with residential painting projects or touch-ups to enhance the appearance of the facility when required.
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning practices is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning environments is a plus.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery and basic tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
