OSI Global is a privately held IT hardware and services company, founded in 2008 and based on California’s central coast. We supply servers, storage, and networking equipment from every major manufacturer, along with more than 10,000 MSA-compliant optical transceivers backed by our own testing and warranty. About the Role
Our optics team tracks and maintains our optic transceiver inventory and processes sales orders for customers. In this role you will keep our inventory accurate, get customer orders out the door, and occasionally help the shipping team with packing. No prior experience with our systems is required — we will train you on the software you need.
What You’ll Do
o Learn our IQR and SmartProd software to perform daily job duties (training provided)
o Use the software to process inventory purchasing, order fulfillment, inventory adjustments, and recoding of available inventory as needed
o Order inventory from vendors according to hardware needs, or “re-brand” as needed
o Receive inventory into the database daily as shipments arrive
o Print and fulfill inventory sales orders, or pick and move them to shipping for fulfillment
o Answer questions from the team regarding inventory
What We’re Looking For
o Detail oriented, organized, and able to communicate clearly
o Comfortable working at a fast pace and under deadline pressure
o Able to multi-task and manage your time well
o Reliable, and able to work both as part of a team and with little or no supervision
o Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus (we can train)
o At least 1 year of data entry or order entry experience preferred
o High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements
o Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing 10–75 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
o Constant movement required, including standing, lifting, and stooping
Pay and Schedule
Pay range: $19.00 – $24.00 per hour. The posted range reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position; actual pay within the range depends on experience and qualifications.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, on-site in Goleta, CA.
