Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Your proactive approach will contribute to a positive atmosphere for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle chemical agents safely for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Use floor buffers and other equipment to maintain floor care, including buffing, polishing, and stripping as needed.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas to meet health standards.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks or specialized custodial duties as required for facility maintenance.
- Support facilities maintenance activities when necessary to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques involving chemical agents and industrial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers.
- Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling in a safe manner is advantageous.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices including basic repairs or troubleshooting is a plus.
- Previous porter or maintenance roles that involved custodial responsibilities will be highly regarded.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
