Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection related to lawn care, gardening, floral design, and landscape maintenance
- Provide expert plant identification and horticulture advice to ensure customer satisfaction
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cashiering and cash handling transactions
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves efficiently to enhance the shopping experience
- Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and merchandising updates
- Engage with customers via phone communication to answer questions about products or services
- Assist with outdoor work activities such as plant care, landscape maintenance tasks, and gardening projects when needed
Skills
- Strong knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, and floral design principles
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, retail math, and cash handling procedures
- Proven customer service skills with a friendly attitude and active listening abilities
- Ability to identify plants accurately and provide gardening advice confidently
- Organizational skills for managing stock levels, merchandising displays, and store cleanliness
- Outgoing personality with outdoor work experience preferred; comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms is advantageous for supporting online orders and inquiries
