Laboratory Operations Training Coordinator
Are you passionate about developing people, improving operations, and building strong safety cultures? We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Operations Training Coordinator to play a key role in developing the next generation of Operations professionals within our Lab facility.
In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted trainer, mentor, and operational resource, helping to strengthen workforce capability, improve operational performance, and preserve critical unit knowledge. You will work directly with Operations leadership and frontline personnel to create engaging training programs, support continuous improvement initiatives, and drive safe, reliable operations.

What You'll Do
Training & Workforce Development
- Lead onboarding and qualification programs for new Operations personnel.
- Develop and deliver engaging classroom, field, and hands-on training programs.
- Serve as a mentor and coach, helping employees build technical knowledge and operational confidence.
- Create, update, and maintain training materials that support workforce development and operational readiness.
Safety Leadership
- Champion a strong safety culture through coaching, training, and employee engagement.
- Coordinate and facilitate emergency response exercises and safety drills.
- Reinforce safe work practices and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Operations Excellence
- Review and improve operating procedures to promote consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance.
- Help identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve execution within the operation.
Knowledge Management
- Capture and transfer critical historical and operational knowledge to current and future Operations personnel.
- Partner with Operations leadership to preserve lessons learned and best practices, particularly within HF-related operations.
Systems & Documentation
- Utilize SAP to support workflow management, notification tracking, and operational documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and support efforts to reduce work backlog and improve process efficiency.
What We're Looking For
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in chemical, refining, or petrochemical operations environments.
- Strong passion for training, mentoring, and workforce development.
- Experience developing procedures, training programs, or operating practices.
- Maintenance and reliability experience is a plus.
- SAP experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage personnel at all levels.
