ROLL-OFF DISPATCHER / OPERATIONS COORDINATOR (DUMPSTER & CONSTRUCTION SERVICES)

Our success is built on responsiveness, reliability, and operational excellence. We are seeking a highly organized Roll-Off Dispatcher / Operations Coordinator to help manage daily dumpster operations and support our continued growth.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Roll-Off Dispatcher / Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily movement of roll-off dumpsters, managing driver schedules, optimizing routes, and ensuring customers receive timely service.
This position serves as the operational hub between customers, drivers, and internal departments. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This is an operations-focused position with customer interaction, not a traditional customer service role.
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate daily roll-off dumpster deliveries, pickups, exchanges, relocations, and final hauls.
- Dispatch drivers efficiently while balancing customer needs, route density, driver availability, equipment utilization, and operational priorities.
- Monitor daily service schedules and proactively adjust routes as conditions change.
- Maintain visibility of dumpster inventory and equipment availability.
- Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding assignments, route changes, site conditions, access restrictions, and special instructions.
- Schedule service requests for builders, contractors, roofing companies, and commercial customers.
- Enter, update, and manage work orders within company software systems.
- Verify service completion and ensure all work orders are accurately documented and closed.
- Coordinate emergency service requests and same-day customer needs whenever possible.
- Identify and resolve operational issues including scheduling conflicts, site access challenges, traffic delays, driver availability concerns, and equipment shortages.
- Provide customers with accurate scheduling information and service updates.
- Assist in route optimization efforts to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and maximize driver productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activity, service requests, driver communications, and operational data.
- Collaborate with management to improve dispatch procedures, service quality, and operational performance.
· Assert Controls to Track Our inventory of product to know where it is at all times.
- Support additional operations and logistics functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of dispatching, logistics coordination, transportation, construction services, waste management, or related operational experience.
- Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn dispatch, routing, and operational software systems.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Experience in roll-off dumpster operations.
- Experience dispatching trucks or managing transportation logistics.
- Experience serving construction industry customers.
- Familiarity with route planning, GPS systems, and mapping software.
- Knowledge of trucking, fleet operations, waste management, recycling, or construction services.
