Bilingual Personal Injury Legal Assistant (English/Spanish)

Position Summary
The Bilingual Personal Injury Legal Assistant provides administrative and legal support to attorneys and case managers handling personal injury matters. This position serves as a primary point of contact for clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and opposing counsel while assisting with case management from intake through settlement.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, compassionate, and fluent in both English and Spanish. Previous personal injury experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesClient Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for English and Spanish-speaking clients.
- Answer incoming calls and assist with client inquiries.
- Conduct client intake interviews and gather necessary documentation.
- Provide case status updates to clients.
- Schedule appointments and maintain attorney calendars.
- Maintain professional and compassionate communication with clients throughout the case.
Case Management Support
- Open and organize new personal injury files.
- Request and obtain medical records and billing statements.
- Request police reports, accident reports, and investigative records.
- Assist with Letters of Representation (LORs).
- Assist with Letters of Protection (LOPs).
- Track treatment progress and monitor client medical care.
- Maintain case notes and update case management software.
- Assist attorneys and case managers with settlement preparation.
Administrative Duties
- Draft correspondence and legal documents.
- Manage electronic and physical case files.
- Upload and organize documents within the firm's case management system.
- Coordinate communication with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and clients.
- Prepare documents for attorney review and signature.
- Scan, copy, email, and file case-related documents.
Insurance & Medical Coordination
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status.
- Obtain claim information and adjuster contact information.
- Follow up with medical providers for records and billing.
- Coordinate lien and billing information as needed.
Compliance & Confidentiality
- Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information.
- Follow all firm policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all case activity.
- Comply with HIPAA and applicable privacy regulations.
QualificationsRequired
- Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude
Preferred
- Personal Injury Law experience
- Experience with CASEpeer, Filevine, Clio, or similar case management software
- Experience requesting medical records and bills
- Knowledge of personal injury claims process
- Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience

Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Full-Time
- Some overtime may be required based on caseload and business needs
