Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored to early childhood development standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and social skills
- Manage classroom activities with effective behavior management strategies to support positive interactions and discipline
- Conduct assessments of children's progress through standardized testing and observational techniques to inform instruction and support early intervention when needed
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to communicate children's progress and address individual needs, including special education considerations
- Incorporate early childhood education best practices such as toddler care, preschool activities, and child welfare principles into daily routines
- Plan engaging lessons that incorporate hands-on learning experiences, fostering creativity and critical thinking among students
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and lesson plans in compliance with childcare regulations
- Support inclusive education by adapting teaching methods for children with diverse learning needs
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories and practices including Montessori or similar educational philosophies
- Experience developing curriculum content across core areas such as literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and student engagement
- Proven ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and specialists in early intervention or special education programs
- Experience with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment is advantageous
