QUALITY TECHNICIAN
Location: Santa Teresa, NM
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire Salary $ 20 per hour
Must be able to work 3rd shift.
- 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM M-F able to work Saturday
Position Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting materials, products, and processes to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience using measurement instruments, interpreting engineering drawings, and performing detailed inspections in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and write English and communicate effectively
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Proficient use of measuring instruments including calipers, gauges, tape measures, scales, combination squares, and protractors
- Basic computer skills and data entry experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to inspect materials, commodities, and processes accurately
- Understanding of GD&T drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
- College coursework or certification in a Quality Assurance-related field
- Minimum two years of experience using measurement instruments
- Minimum two years of Quality Assurance Inspection experience
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)
- Lean 6S experience
