Senior Structural Engineering Project Manager
Seattle Structural is a downtown Seattle structural engineering firm seeking qualified mid - to senior level structural engineers to join our team. We work across a range of industries, with a focus on designing scoreboards for national sports leagues, stadium and arena structures, and architecturally expressive steel display structures throughout the country.
Positions are also available for non-registered Engineers-in-Training (EIT) and more experienced licensed Professional Engineers (PE).
Our team works collaboratively in person at our downtown Seattle office, and this role is intended to be full-time on-site. We are not considering remote or contract positions.
Requirements:
- 3-5 + years structural engineering experience (Young professionals with less experience will be considered on an individual basis)
- BS or MS in Structural Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
- Experience in steel and concrete building design, aluminum structures, lateral and seismic analysis, deep foundations (pile foundations) , and marine/waterfront structural projects is desired.
- Knowledge and experience applying US building codes
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3d modeling, and Revit preferred.
- Experience working as a client-facing project engineer or structural project manager is a plus
At Seattle Structural you won’t just be sitting at your desk doing design calculations every day:
· Client interaction, project management, site visits and U.S. travel
· Preparing structural engineering construction drawings and 3d models for major league scoreboards, stadium and arena structures
· Supporting and working with construction teams throughout the U.S.
· Building code analysis (IBE, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI) and structural design calculations
· 3D modeling of architectural steel and special structures
· Waterfront and marine projects
