Drift Cafe is hiring Baristas! Please see our menu and instagram @DriftCafeNPT for reference. We are looking for experienced baristas prepared with a positive attitude, dedication to consistent presentation standards, and a strong sense of urgency. Our team members are committed to maintain a clean work station and observe safe food handling practices.
Starting pay is $10/hr plus tips. Tips are pooled amongst baristas in that shift. We offer a 401K plan with up to 4% matching.
This is a year round position. Employees are responsible for a consistent schedule in the summer (in-season) with more schedule flexibility in the winter (off-season). Full Time or Part Time positions are available. Work begins at 7:45am. We close at 3pm. Cleaning and preparing the station for the next day is typically complete by 3:30pm. Employees are provided lunch during their paid lunch break.
In addition to preparing drinks, Baristas are responsible for welcoming guests, receiving and inputting their orders into a computer system, managing the flow of guests in line, and practicing hospitality in guest interactions. This position requires the menu to be memorized and the ability to recognize and communicate any allergies or dietary restrictions. We carry a reputation for friendly, hospitable staff and would expect new employees to maintain that reputation.
