Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Technician to help maintain and service our fleet of commercial delivery vehicles. This position focuses primarily on preventative maintenance and keeping our trucks safe, reliable, and keeping our trucks safe, reliable, and compliant with DOT regulations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanic who enjoys working independently, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants a constistent Monday-Friday position without spending every day performing major engine or transmission repairs.
Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance on commercial vehicles.
- Complete oil changes, lubrications, and fluid services.
- Replace brakes, tires, batteries, belts, hoses and filters.
- Diagnose and repair common mechanical issues.
- Conduct DOT safety inspections and ensure vehicles remain compliant.
- Identify maintenance concerns before they become major repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records and maintence logs.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance to minimize vehicel downtime.
- Keep company vehicles clesn, organized, and properly stocked with tools and parts.
- Work safely while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a mechanic (commercial fleet experience preferred).
- Strong mechanical knowledge of gasoline and diesel vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot machanical issues.
- Familiar with DOT inspection standards.
- Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus but not required).
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
- Self motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
