Job Summary
Mark Christopher Auto Center, family owned and operated since 1975, is seeking motivated and skilled Heavy Line and Drivability technicians. We are a high volume store with competitive pay. Must have GM experience to apply.
In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety for our customers. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional service, uphold quality standards, and contribute to a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and steering.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems efficiently.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to interpret wiring diagrams and repair procedures.
- Execute repairs on ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), powertrain components, and perform wheel alignments.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs with precision.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Skills
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, diesel engines, and powertrain components.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and interpreting schematics for complex repairs.
- Mechanical expertise in vehicle maintenance, engine repair, wheel alignments, and ADAS calibration.
- Familiarity with auto estimating procedures and delivering excellent customer service throughout the repair process.
- Ability to handle various hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices confidently.
- Strong understanding of GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; diesel engine repair experience is highly valued.
