Duties
- Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Support the kitchen team by washing dishes, utensils, and cookware efficiently and thoroughly
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining hygiene standards
- Assist with meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and supporting fellow staff members
Experience
- Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurants, catering, or culinary environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods is advantageous
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling are highly desirable
