Perform the machining of coupling nuts, including the setup and operation of automatic screw machines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Promotes and maintains a flexible, cooperative, team oriented, and customer focused attitude within and between departments. Keeps supervisors aware of pertinent issues, information, etc. warranting supervisors’ knowledge, action and/or resolution. Ensures proper, accurate records are maintained, as required, within areas of responsibility. Operate and setup automatic screw machines. Plan and make multi-tool setups. Perform functions in a timely, safe, and cost effective manner. Make and grind tools as required. Insures first piece inspection is performed. Inspect product with proper measuring equipment. Sharpen tools with grinder. Ensure work area is kept clean and safe. Trains and may assist and/or perform work of junior level operators. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None:

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Fork Lift License POSITION REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS Able to work independently with minimal to no direction/follow up from Lead Person and/or Supervisor. Possess senior level knowledge and skill of assigned duties/responsibilities. Able to use required hand tools and power tools. Able to make and grind tools. Possess sound working knowledge of machine shop practices for level of duties performed. Able to read and work from prints, etc. Able to use micrometers, calipers, precision measuring and inspection tools. Excellent analytical, problem solving, training, and follow through skills. ".
