Captiva Salon is looking for an experienced, licensed hair stylist to join our creative and client-focused team. We are seeking a polished professional who is confident behind the chair, passionate about current trends, and committed to delivering an exceptional salon experience from consultation to finished style.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional consultations and recommend styles, color, treatments, and home-care routines based on each client’s needs.
- Perform haircuts, blowouts, color services, highlights, styling, and other salon services with consistency and attention to detail.
- Create a welcoming, professional experience that encourages repeat visits and client referrals.
- Stay current on trends, techniques, product knowledge, and best practices in hair care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in accordance with salon standards.
- Support retail product recommendations and contribute to a positive, team-oriented salon environment.
Skills
- Current cosmetology license required.
- Previous salon experience as a stylist required; established clientele is a plus.
- Strong skills in cutting, color, styling, consultations, and client communication.
- Professional, dependable, and motivated to grow within a salon team.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in a busy, guest-focused environment.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Commission for this position is based on experience.
Pay: $16.94 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
