Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeping Houseman to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our guest areas and staff facilities. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and staff facilities using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning to ensure they are spotless and safe for guests and staff
- Assist with laundry duties including sorting, folding, and distributing linens and towels as needed
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials to ensure availability at all times
- Support the housekeeping management team with inventory control, equipment maintenance, and reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Follow established health and safety protocols to uphold sanitation standards and prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members to complete special cleaning projects or deep cleans during scheduled intervals
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles within hospitality or industrial settings is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, and custodial procedures
- Previous hotel experience or background in hospitality environments is preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
