Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Foreman to lead and coordinate construction projects from start to finish. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Construction Foreman, you will oversee daily operations on-site, manage teams of skilled equipment operators and laborers, interpret technical drawings, and ensure compliance with all safety and construction regulations. Your leadership will drive project success while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Duties
- Supervise and manage construction crews, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide on-site activities accurately.
- Review construction drawings and schematics for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with project specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA standards, federal safety regulations, and company safety policies.
- Oversee quality control processes, inspecting work for adherence to plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues early, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, scheduling adjustments, and contract management.
- Lead team meetings to communicate daily objectives, safety protocols, and project updates effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management with a strong background in supervising teams on-site.
- Extensive knowledge of construction safety regulations including OSHA and federal safety standards.
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of contracts, construction estimating, budgeting, and cost control processes.
- Excellent communication skills for managing crews effectively and coordinating with clients and stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations including blueprint reading, quality control inspections, and safety management.
- Valid OSHA certification along with relevant safety training certifications required for federal compliance.
