Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Architectural Designer to join our creative team. Your expertise will drive the development of detailed construction drawings, 3D models, and sustainable design strategies that meet client needs and adhere to building codes and accessibility regulations. Duties
- Develop comprehensive architectural designs utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, and Rhino 3D, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Create detailed construction drawings and construction detail documentation that facilitate seamless project execution.
- Generate high-quality renderings and 3D models using tools like 3ds Max, Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite to visualize design concepts effectively.
- Conduct building code analysis and ensure all designs comply with local building regulations, accessibility standards, and sustainability principles.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients on project scheduling, budgeting, and contract negotiations to align project scope with client expectations.
- Perform building information modeling (BIM) tasks using Revit or NavisWorks for efficient coordination across disciplines.
- Assist in business development efforts by preparing presentations, proposals, and engaging in client meetings to showcase innovative design solutions.
- Support construction management activities by reviewing construction estimates, overseeing construction accessibility compliance, and ensuring design intent is maintained during build-out.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in architectural design with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in construction drawings, 3D modeling for architectural projects, and sustainable design practices.
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit (including BIM), Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros), Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Solid understanding of building code analysis, construction regulatory compliance, and accessibility regulations.
- Experience with construction estimating, project scheduling, budgeting, and contract management is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in graphic design software for creating compelling visual presentations and renderings.
- Excellent communication skills for negotiation with clients and contractors as well as collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
- Business development experience is a plus—able to contribute to proposal preparation and client engagement strategies.
- Knowledge of renovation projects and interior design principles is beneficial for comprehensive project delivery.
