Boiler Technician — Responsibilities & Duties
The Boiler Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial boiler systems. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities include:
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair boiler systems and related equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on boiler systems.
- Install boilers, pumps, controls, piping, and related equipment according to specifications.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-system issues.
- Perform boiler start-ups, shutdowns, and system testing.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with customers, management, and team members.
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable codes and regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Travel to customer locations throughout Gallatin Valley as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with commercial or industrial boiler systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience with boiler controls, pumps, and related equipment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and work with heavy equipment and materials.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
