Are you an organized and detail-oriented inventory professional looking for a stable opportunity with long-term potential? We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist III to support inventory management operations, ensuring accurate tracking, replenishment, and organization of critical materials and assets.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong inventory control experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including quantities, locations, and condition of materials and components.
- Perform inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure data accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify replenishment needs.
- Define, maintain, and standardize inventory locations including buildings, shelves, bins, stockrooms, and Kanban areas.
- Enter and maintain inventory data within inventory management systems.
- Coordinate ordering and replenishment activities to prevent stock shortages.
- Receive, verify, and stock incoming materials.
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to maintain inventory availability.
- Assist with property administration activities including:
- Asset tagging
- Photographing equipment/property
- Data entry and recordkeeping
- Inventory tracking and reporting
- Support facility and space allocation decision-making through accurate inventory documentation.
- Collect and analyze inventory turnover metrics and KPIs.
- Identify opportunities for inventory and process improvements.
- Generate reports and maintain inventory documentation.
- Support Health & Safety initiatives as needed.
- Assist with labeling and moving inventory items, including gas cylinders and chemical-related inventory.
- Perform other assigned duties to support operational needs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in inventory control, logistics, warehouse operations, asset management, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- PowerPoint
- Adobe Acrobat
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working with vendors, suppliers, and service contractors.
- Experience using Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or inventory management systems.
- Experience with Sunflower Asset Management System is a plus but not required.
- Experience tracking and maintaining large inventories and assets.
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Role may require moving and labeling gas cylinders and chemical inventory.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
- Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
- No forklift operation required.
- No hazardous materials handling required.
- No respirator use required.
- Temporary position with strong potential for permanent hire.
