- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions.
- Establish communication to devices, troubleshoot and adjust programming, download programs, and make timing, pattern, and conceptual changes on processors and touchscreens.
- Test and run equipment on the shop floor before it ships, documenting as-built data, test sheets, and any concerns.
- Determine when equipment should be upgraded or replaced, and walk customers through the new options and upgrades available.
- Train customer operators and mechanics on safe, correct operation and maintenance.
- Coordinate job scheduling, travel, tools, and logistics with plant production.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer contacts at every level of the plant.
- Keep thorough documentation and submit service and expense reports on time.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of hands-on field service experience on industrial or production equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Working knowledge of controls/PLCs and programming software [specify platforms — e.g., Allen-Bradley
- Ability to read prints, drawings, build sheets, and production orders.
- Comfortable working independently at customer sites and managing your own schedule.
- Willingness to travel 50%; valid driver’s license
