The University of North Alabama invites applications for adjunct (part-time) teaching positions expected to be available during the current term in the areas of Instructional Leadership and Teacher Leader. Persons holding adjunct teaching positions normally teach three to six credit hours or nine contact hours per semester
Application for this posting is an application for entrance into an approved Adjunct Instructor pool from which instructors will be selected based on enrollment each semester. Salary is based on the currently-approved adjunct pay scale according to credit/contact hours taught.
An earned doctorate in instructional leadership (educational administration) or a closely related field is required. A minimum of three years of experience as a practicing assistant principal, principal, central office supervisor, assistant superintendent, superintendent, or any three years total combination thereof is required.

For consideration for adjunct teaching and/or entrance to the approved pool, complete adjunct application packets include official transcripts for the highest degree attained. If any of your graduate hours in the relevant teaching discipline are taken from a degree(s) that is not your highest attained, an official transcript of that degree(s) must also be submitted. Electronic copies, if available, of unofficial transcripts may be attached under the attachment headings of Unofficial Transcript 1, Unofficial Transcript 2, etc. Electronic copies of unofficial/official transcripts may also be requested to be sent to [email protected]. If electronic copies of transcripts are unavailable, hard copies must be sent to: Human Resources, One Harrison Plaza, UNA Box 5043, Florence, AL, 35632, or brought to 601 Cramer Way, Room 226. Official transcripts must be sent directly to HR from the issuing school via email or postal mail to be considered official. Transcripts with a designation of “Issued to Student”, or with the student’s name listed as the recipient will not be considered official. Adjuncts are typically paid $800/credit hour or $2,400 per 3-credit course however, some differences may occur based on credit/contact hours taught, and the college/department in which you will teach.
