Responsibilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on functional assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities
- Conduct behavioral psychological assessments, functional analyses, and patient assessments to identify target behaviors and underlying causes
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including ABA strategies tailored to each client’s needs
- Collect, analyze, and document data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Perform intake evaluations and coordinate initial patient assessments to establish treatment goals and care plans
- Maintain accurate medical records, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and document all patient interactions thoroughly
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to support consistent implementation of treatment plans across settings
- Provide training and support to caregivers on behavior management techniques and intervention strategies for home-based behavioral therapy
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral health principles, and behavioral psychological assessments
- Proficiency in data collection methods, medical documentation, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant records
- Ability to perform functional assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and medical terminology understanding relevant to neurodevelopmental disorders
- Experience with home-based behavioral interventions and supporting individuals with disabilities in various environments
- Excellent patient care skills combined with compassionate communication tailored to diverse populations
- Familiarity with medical records management, intake procedures, and behavioral health protocols for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders
