Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming shipments using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Stock shelves with produce, retail products, and grocery items, ensuring proper merchandising standards are met.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the stockroom and sales floor by performing routine cleaning and organization tasks.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading merchandise efficiently.
- Support inventory management through regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering product questions and helping customers locate items when needed.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience or retail store experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and forklift operation is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail math enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Experience with grocery or produce departments is beneficial but not required.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe lifting practices and manual handling procedures ensures a safe working environment for all team members.
