Bell Market, the new food hall in Bell Works Chicagoland, is hiring an experienced line cook for our lunch counter service! Working in a fast paced environment and a readiness to assist in any task given is key: responsibilities include preparing food items, setting up and stocking the station, knife work and prep cook experience is a must, and representing yourself in a clean, professional manner.
Weekly tasks include maintaining sanitary standards throughout the work day, assisting the kitchen staff with ingredient prep like sauces, dressings, and cooking proteins, and reporting to the head chef daily. The candidate who will fill this position must be a team player and have a warm, friendly demeanor. With our open, counter-style lunch service, a willingness to assist our customers with their orders, collecting payments, and processing change is required from time to time.
Availability must be Monday-Friday, mainly daytime shifts, 40hrs per week. As we grow our catering and events program, additional hours may be available depending on business volume and scheduling. This is a great opportunity for local culinary students looking for their first professional role with a hospitality team that plans to expand our exciting culinary concepts to multiple locations.
