Position Reports to: Warehouse Manager
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Warehouse Department. These duties include but are not limited to: direction of warehouse staff, managing the receiving, stocking, storing, loading and unloading of inventory, and providing excellent customer service to Customers and Vendors. In addition to these duties, the Warehouse Team Lead will also oversee delivery of doors, windows, cabinets, and other items sold by Showroom Sales staff.
In addition to this overview of job duties, other assignments or job duties may be required.
Specific Duties Include:
1. Ensure the productivity of the Warehouse Receiving staff. Assure that staff members handle, distribute and maintain inventory in a safe, secure and organized manner. Inventory is the single largest asset of HLC and effective management of this position is critical to the success of the company.
2. Oversee and manage the delivery of special order items received including doors, windows, cabinets, and other items. Follow company procedures regarding payment of orders and communication with sales staff, customers, and vendors.
3. Ensure that all Vendor shipping documents are accurate. Necessary changes must be indicated on the paperwork in order for invoices to be verified and processed by the Accounting Department for payment. Ensure daily paperwork is processed in a timely manner.
4. Ensure that staff members properly distribute all incoming merchandise. Regular stock is to be merchandised immediately, rotating stock so the oldest merchandise is the first to sell. Ensure special orders are properly labeled, organized and monitored and Customer is notified of delivery.
5. Operate company software to run price tags and properly receive inventory. Serve as technical resource for less experienced staff members.
6. Ensure the Warehouse and Truck Dock areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner to allow for an uninterrupted flow of incoming and outgoing stock. Ensure product is moved forward and secured in Truck Dock area. Inform Warehouse Manager of any excessive stock situations before they create a storage problem in the warehouse.
7. Operate various powered equipment and utilize as needed through the location. Maintain training standards; retrain as needed.
8. Work in a safety conscious manner at all times. Follow all safety regulations and security guidelines. Actively contribute to work safety and security. Maintain a safe, clean and pleasant work environment.
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
