Campus Eye Group Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in perioperative services to join our leadership team.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume ophthalmic ambulatory surgery center performing approximately 6,000 procedures annually. Our center features three operating rooms, an on-site LASIK suite, advanced laser technology, and fellowship-trained ophthalmic surgeons specializing in cataract, glaucoma, cornea, retina, plastics, and refractive surgery.
We're looking for an experienced perioperative RN who enjoys both direct patient care and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care throughout the perioperative continuum
- Circulate ophthalmic surgical procedures
- Assist with pre-operative assessments and patient preparation
- Recover patients in PACU as needed
- Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff
- Coordinate daily patient flow and staffing assignments
- Assist with quality improvement, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance
- Participate in staff education and competency validation
- Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and leadership to ensure exceptional patient care
Qualifications
- Current New Jersey RN License
- Minimum 3 years of perioperative nursing experience
- Experience in the Operating Room required
- Experience in Pre-Op and PACU strongly preferred
- Ambulatory Surgery Center experience preferred
- Ophthalmology experience is a plus but not required
- Current BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Preferred Experience
- Circulating nurse experience
- Ophthalmology or ambulatory surgery experience
- Charge nurse or leadership experience
- Quality improvement and regulatory compliance
- Electronic medical record documentation
