Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, verifying paperwork, moving materials throughout the facility, and helping maintain an organized shipping and receiving area.
We are hiring for First shift positions:
First Shift is a full-time, hourly position and operates Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials, parts, and supplies and verify accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders
- Inspect incoming shipments for visible damage, shortages, or discrepancies
- Package finished parts and assemblies for shipment in accordance with customer requirements and company standards
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and related documentation
- Load, unload, move, and stage materials as needed
- Maintain organization in shipping, receiving, and stock areas
- Coordinate with production, quality, and office personnel to support timely shipments and receipts
- Support compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Perform other duties as directed by management
Qualifications:
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Basic computer skills required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read shipping paperwork, labels, and part information accurately
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Additional Details:
- Visual acuity (corrected) to read directions, labels, and to inspect parts closely to ensure they meet basic standards.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, move about the shop floor, talk, hear, bend and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment is occasionally very loud.
