England Cattle Co. Beef, a division of England Cattle Company, LLC, is seeking to hire part-time employees to assist with selling ranch-raised beef products at Farmer’s Markets across the Rio Grande Valley.
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle for transportation and be available to work on Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 6:45 AM to 3 PM, daily.
Employee will be expected to:
- Setup and attend local Farmer’s Markets in cities across the RGV, including but not limited to, McAllen, Brownsville, Harlingen, Weslaco, Boca Chica, and South Padre Island
- Load and unload ice chests with frozen product weighing on average 50 lbs. each
- Interact with marketgoers about the different cuts of beef, England Cattle Co. ranch history and health benefits of consuming beef (training materials in these areas will be provided prior to first market)
- Execute sales via cash transactions, be familiar with money transfer apps including
- Venmo and Paypal, and accept credit card payments via Square

The ideal candidate is a responsible, trustworthy individual who is outgoing and enjoys interacting with the public. Agricultural background and/or experience in sales is preferred.
COMPENSATION
Pay is $75 per market plus round-trip mileage reimbursement from the England Cattle Co. headquarters to the market. Bonuses given based on amount sold. Markets are on Saturday and Sunday, and applicants must be available to work a minimum of two weekends per month.

Michael and Elizabeth England, along with their son Benton England and wife Brooke England, raise registered Brahman and Brahman-Influenced cattle on family land that was settled in the early 1900s. England Cattle Co. is respected worldwide as one of the most prominent breeders of Polled Brahman cattle in the USA, and currently holds the recognition as the USA’s largest Polled Brahman ranch since 2017. The England family also farms a variety of row crops including corn, sorghum, cotton, sugarcane and onions.
