Job Summary
We are seeking a FT-skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a focus on delivering exceptional service to our customers. This role requires proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems, including powertrain, electrical systems, and more. The Automotive Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all vehicles are serviced efficiently and to the highest standards.
Duties
- Perform automotive diagnostics and repairs on various makes and models.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to conduct vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues related to alignment, transmissions, and other mechanical components.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot automotive electrical systems effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's needs and repair status.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including diesel.
- Assist in auto estimating for repairs needed based on diagnostics. Tekmetric user knowledge preferred
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a service technician or mechanic in an automotive dealership or repair shop is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and equipment.
- Ability to work with both gasoline and diesel engines; experience with welding is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing issues.
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license is required; ASE certification is preferred but not mandatory.
