Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management, social-emotional growth, and active student engagement.
- Monitor and assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, analyzing performance data to tailor instructional strategies effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, educational technology integration, and best practices in early childhood education.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievements, behavioral concerns, and upcoming classroom activities through various channels.
- Incorporate learning technology tools and resources to enhance instruction and support literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education lessons.
- Support students with special needs by adapting lessons for children with autism or other developmental differences, ensuring equitable access to learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching elementary school students in a classroom setting with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum implementation, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Knowledge of educational compliance standards, standardized testing procedures, and early intervention strategies.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and teamwork within a collaborative educational environment.
- Experience working with diverse learners using differentiated instruction methods; familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in learning technology tools such as educational software, digital assessment platforms, and library services integration.
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches based on individual learning styles; experience tutoring or working with children with autism or in private school settings is advantageous.
- Certification or licensure in elementary education or related fields; additional qualifications in Montessori or early childhood education are beneficial.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
