Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide expert behavioral therapy services, primarily working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. This role involves conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to improve clients' quality of life. The BCBA will play a vital role in supporting patients and their families through comprehensive behavioral health services within a clinical or educational setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify client needs and develop tailored intervention strategies.
- Design, implement, and supervise behavioral therapy programs based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data collection to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special education, medical professionals, and family members, to ensure cohesive care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide training and supervision to behavior technicians or other staff involved in delivering therapy services.
- Conduct patient assessments and coordinate intake processes for new clients.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards and best practices in behavioral health and patient care.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, and special education strategies.
- Proven experience working with children, especially those with autism, disabilities, or in behavioral health settings.
- Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to measure treatment effectiveness.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and maintaining detailed records in accordance with privacy laws such as HIPAA.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments, including intake procedures, within a clinical environment.
- Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating patience and understanding when working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
