Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products throughout the store
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Upsell items by recommending complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
- Manage inventory levels by organizing stock, replenishing shelves, and conducting stock checks
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering product knowledge, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Follow phone etiquette standards when handling inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math ensures smooth transactions
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and team members
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments will be advantageous
