Workforce Development Training in high demand fields like Healthcare, Trades, Technology, and Education gives students skills to fill sought after positions in key industries. Expert instructors bring real world experience and passion to their teaching. Our Adult Literacy Program opens doors for those seeking to earn their high school equivalency diploma, improve their English language skills, or pass the U.S. Citizenship test.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide backup support for teachers who are absent from work at various locations.
- Deliver instructions and help students understand the lesson.
- Assume responsibility for a class and perform the tasks of the absent teacher.
- Implement lesson plans that align with curriculum and learning objectives set by teachers and provide monitoring of adult students, and classroom management.
Job Qualifications
- Experience teaching adult population.
- New York State Certification in Adult Education, English Language Learning Instructor or be qualified to apply for certification.
- Must be available to teach in the evening.
- May include weekends
