Duties
- Operate cash registers efficiently using POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
- Handle cash drawer with care, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at shift end
- Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about store merchandise to enhance their shopping experience
- Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain an attractive and organized store environment
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, addressing inquiries professionally, and maintaining phone etiquette
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring stock levels are maintained
- Conduct retail math calculations for transactions, discounts, and returns with accuracy
- Assist in cashiering duties during busy periods or when supervising experience is required
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail environment preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Demonstrated knowledge of retail sales techniques, upselling strategies, and customer service best practices
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling multiple tasks efficiently
