Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Large Scale Pipeline Pressure Testing Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing comprehensive pressure testing procedures on extensive pipeline systems to ensure safety, integrity, and compliance with industry standards. Duties
- Conduct pressure tests on large-scale pipelines following established protocols and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards.
- Prepare testing equipment, including setting up pressure gauges, valves, and control systems for accurate data collection.
- Perform detailed inspections using non-destructive testing methods to detect leaks or weaknesses in pipeline systems.
- Utilize hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and soldering equipment to assist in assembly, repairs, or modifications during testing phases.
- Collect and analyze data from pressure tests, documenting findings meticulously for quality control and assurance purposes.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure proper setup and adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the testing process, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with surface mount technology (SMT) or related manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in assembly, schematics interpretation, and use of hand tools.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to pipeline pressure testing and safety regulations.
- Experience with quality control and quality assurance practices within manufacturing or infrastructure projects.
- Skilled in data collection, analysis skills, and detailed documentation of test results.
- Proficiency in non-destructive testing techniques such as ultrasonic testing or visual inspection methods.
- Ability to operate precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and other inspection instruments effectively.
- Familiarity with schematics reading, assembly procedures, and troubleshooting mechanical issues during testing phases. Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
