Skilled Technician Wanted
Are you a hands-on problem-solver with a passion for keeping industrial systems running at peak performance? Inovair, a leader in geared centrifugal blower technology, is seeking a skilled Industrial Field Service Technician to deliver top-tier service to our customers. If you thrive in dynamic environments, excel at troubleshooting, and enjoy empowering clients with technical know-how, we want you on our team!
What You'll Do:
- Commission & Maintain Geared Centrifugal Blowers: Perform on-site installation, routine maintenance, and repairs of industrial equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot Like a Pro: Identify and fix mechanical, electrical, and controls system issues, delivering smooth operations with timely solutions.
- Support HQ Operations: When not in the field, work hand-in-hand with the assembly crew on production needs and partner with the engineering team on testing procedures for outgoing products and R&D projects in the Test Cell.
- Fulfill Component Orders: Process, fulfill, and respond to customer requests for replacement components in a timely, accurate manner.
- Train Customers: Provide hands-on training to clients and end-users on equipment operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting, building their confidence and competence.
- Document with Precision: Complete detailed service reports for every job and collaborate with engineering and production teams on improvements, updates, and retrofits, ensuring accurate records that support compliance and continuous improvement.
- Travel with Purpose: Hit the road to customer sites across the USA and Canada (up to 50% travel), representing Inovair with professionalism and expertise.
What You Bring:
- Experience: 2+ years in field service, industrial maintenance, automotive repair, HVAC, pumps, or a related technical role (military experience a plus!).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, using diagnostic tools, and reading technical schematics, as well as working with control systems such as PLCs, VFDs, Ignition, and Panel View, to name a few.
- Customer Focus: Strong communication skills and a knack for teaching others, with a commitment to exceptional service.
- Adaptability: Thrives in dynamic settings, comfortable working independently, and open to travel as required.
- Requirements: Valid driver's license and passport (for travel to Canada); ability to properly and safely operate all machines marketed and serviced by the company; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments.
- Bonus Points: Certification in industrial systems, water or wastewater experience, or related fields; experience with VFDs of various brands, Allen-Bradley software, Ignition software, or electrical certification.
