ASKO Processing, Inc. has been a leader in the Aerospace/Industrial Metal Finishing business for more than 50 years. We specialize in many forms of metal finishing as well as non-destructive testing processes.
Our Fremont Washington facility is looking to hire a Certified Non-Destructive Testing Level II Technician who is proficient in Mag Particle and/or Liquid Penetrant. The Level II Technician needs to be qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
Job Description
- · Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
- · Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
- · Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
- · Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
- · Organize and report test results. Speaks and writes clearly and informatively; Responds well to questions;
- · Practices active listening; exhibits discretion. Communicates Technical findings using industry standards
- · Perform specialized inspections.
- · Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management.
- · Communicates daily with Lead about work priorities and progress of projects
- · Work closely with Level 3 to identify and remove obstacles
- · Actively participate in safety initiatives, incident investigations, etc.
Qualifications
· NDT Level 2 Certification (Dye Penetrant or Magnetic Particle) to National Aerospace Standard (NAS) 410.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
Physical Requirements
· All jobs are typically performed while standing, up to 6-8 hours a day.
· Some jobs may require twisting and/or squatting.
· Repeated bending and lifting to remove parts from baskets and load them onto inspection machines.
· Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
* In this position you will be working with mostly aerospace parts and be around Industrial Chemicals in a warehouse environment while wearing required P.P.E. such as Goggles, Boots, Gloves and Protective Aprons.
