Inbound Receiving Dock Specialist –
- Our ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of recent experience as Inbound Receiving Dock Specialist in a distribution center environment.
- Must have a positive can-do attitude.
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
- Must be willing to cross train on other teams.
- Direct Hire - Full-Time -$17.50-$18.50 hourly DOE - Paid Weekly
- 1st shift: Monday - Thursday 7am-4pm & Friday 6am-3pm.
- Some required OT, that includes some Saturdays
Redstone Foods, Inc. is hiring for our 1st shift Inbound Receiving Team. Our Receiving employees are the heart of our candy and soda distribution operations. S/He ensures inventory is recieved accurately in our air-conditioned warehouse. Our ideal candidate will have a good eye for detail, the drive to meet his/her goals and the ambition to learn a variety of warehouse skills.
You should be comfortable working in a warehouse setting and a growing environment.
This position may include but is not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
- Verify all pallets, cases, and products unloaded against the Bill of Lading (BOL), packing slip, and purchase order before acceptance.
- Accurately count and document pallet quantities, case counts, shortages, overages, and damages during the unloading process.
- Perform visual quality inspections on all inbound products to identify damaged packaging, crushed cases, moisture exposure, contamination, incorrect labeling, or other quality concerns.
- Immediately report discrepancies, damaged freight, and quality issues to Receiving Leadership before product is accepted and signed.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accountability to prevent inventory inaccuracies and receiving errors.
- Demonstrate the ability to read, understand, and interpret Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, pallet labels, and receiving documentation.
- Ability to identify and document freight damage, shortages, overages, and labeling discrepancies.
- Proven ability to accurately read and reconcile Bills of Lading, packing slips, and purchase orders.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse equipment
- Assist other warehouse departments as needed
Qualifications
- +2 years of material receiving experience
- Must have proficient experience driving forklifts
- Forklift certified (preferred not required)
- Must be able to operate a pallet jack and organize pallets
- High school diploma or GED
- Positive can-do attitude with excellent prioritization skills
- Flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands including weekends and evenings when needed
- Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs, push carts over 60 lbs, and use ladders
- Must be able to physically stand, reach, pull, bend, stoop and kneel for long periods of time
- Proficient computer and math skills
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
