Survey Crew Assistant
Square Root Services, LLC is hiring! We are seeking to fill a full-time position for a survey crew assistant to help us development, build, and maintain strong communities. This position is in Albuquerque, NM area. SRS offers competitive benefits package and provides training. You will work with direct supervision and general direction under the guidance of a Senior Survey Crew Chief. You will perform surveying, mapping services to locate improvements, analyze title issues, and provide engineering support to assist in the design and construction of site improvements.
Preferred minimum qualifications include:
· Must have a high school diploma or GED
· Previous experience is not required. However, experience in construction or post-secondary education in a Geomatics or Civil program would be considered significant assets.
· Ability to exude physical labor that may include walking, hiking and use of basic tools
· Ability to work in team setting
· Willingness to adapt and learn new concepts
· Strong mathematics and science background
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Responsibilities include:
· Help/support survey crew chief perform land surveys using GNSS (GPS), electronic total stations, conventional, and other survey equipment.
· Transporting, assembling, and dismantling surveying equipment
· Assisting with construction staking for site grading, improvements, roadways and utilities. (Setting lath, hubs, benchmarks, ect…)
· Assisting with measuring the angle, distance, and elevations with surveying equipment
