We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients across various care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves direct patient care, documentation, and collaboration with medical professionals to deliver high-quality healthcare services. Experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living, or home care is highly valued. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems, medical terminology, and infection control protocols is essential to succeed in this position.
Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, mobility assistance (Hoyer lift), and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately using proper aseptic techniques.
- Administer medications and perform basic medical procedures under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation within EMR/EHR systems like PCC.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols for infectious disease care and aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families about treatment plans and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent credential required.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including seniors, Alzheimer’s/dementia/memory care needs.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as PCC.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, catheter care, foley catheter management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with patients facing complex health challenges.
- Ability to adhere to strict safety standards including infection control practices and HIPAA regulations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts depending on department needs; experience in urgent care or outpatient clinics is a plus. Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour
