Lehigh-Carbon Community College is seeking dedicated and passionate instructors for the Physics part-time/adjunct pool. This is a face-to-face instructional role primarily at our Schnecksville, PA site but may have openings at our satellite sites. Instructional opportunities include weekday, daytime, and evening laboratory and lecture courses.
Face-to-face, day-time, weekday lecture and laboratory courses.
- Deliver mathematics instruction at the undergraduate level.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that align with learning objectives.
- Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams.
- Provide timely entry of grades and constructive feedback to students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades in the college provided learning management system.
- Hold regular office hours and attend adjunct convocation.
- Collaborate with department staff and faculty to enhance course content and teaching methods.
- Rigorously adhere to and enforce laboratory safety rules.
- Master’s degree in Physics or equivalent experience with at least 18.0 graduate level credits in physics required.
- Prior teaching experience and laboratory experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
- Proficiency in educational technology and familiarity with learning management systems is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
All employees are required to obtain the three mandatory background clearances at their expense prior to their first day of work:
- FBI Cogent Clearance Fingerprinting (Department of Education).
